Q & A With Nicole

Q: What is the financial planning department and how are you involved in it?

A: "I lead our planners in making sure that all our plans are accurate, help them with the research, and make sure we're staying up to date on all the latest trends in the industry. As a department, we're actually taking care of the financial plans for our advisors. We're helping them with any recommendations or research they may need with any client. You know what that allows them to do. It allows them to spend more time with their clients, and that's more of what they should be doing."

Q: How do you feel the way that Summit approaches financial planning sets Summit apart from other firms?

A: "We really look at financial planning as a comprehensive, personalized, in-detail financial plan. You don't see that everywhere. Most of the time they focus on one section or another of a person's life or they're not going as detailed as we do."

Nicole joined Summit Wealth Group in September of 2010 as a Para-Planner, assisting Daniel Cook with caring for his clients' financial needs. She is now the Director of Financial Planning Services, with over 17 years of experience in the financial industry. Nicole is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®). She holds the FINRA Series 7 registration through Commonwealth Financial Network and is licensed to assist with life and health insurance, as well as with annuity products. Her passion is to help others reach their goals through comprehensive financial planning.

Nicole was born and raised in Virginia and moved to Colorado in August of 2010, when her husband, Scott, a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, was reassigned to Colorado. In June of 2012, they moved due to an assignment her husband received and continued to move over the next 2-3 years. Scott retired in 2020 from the Air Force, and they settled down in Purcellville, Virginia, to raise their children. They love spending time with their 3 kids, enjoying outdoor activities, and being with their friends and family.

Nicole is currently working remotely for Summit Wealth Group. Nicole and Scott miss the beautiful Rocky Mountains and wonderful people in Colorado and hope to someday call it home again.
