Q & A With Josh

Q: How does the CMO support a new advisor or branch just joining Summit?

A: "So what we'll do is we'll fly out to wherever this office is located and we'll sit down with the advisors in this office and we'll make sure that they're set up in terms of branding, signage, all the marketing documents that they need that are Summit branded, and then we create a strategy that will help them launch from day one so that they can communicate with their clients about this transition and really, just right out of the gate, build a lot of momentum."

Q: How do you feel like Summit differentiates itself from other firms in terms of marketing and branding?

A: "I think we're unique in the fact that we have a dedicated marketing department. If you look at other financial advisory firms, you will see that they might have a dedicated marketing person. Maybe they do client events or order brochures or business cards, things like that, but we have a whole department that's just dedicated to helping this company grow and succeed. If you look at the trajectory of our growth from when we started this marketing department back in 2014, you'll see that it really took a turn in 2014. We've been on this exponential growth path since then."

Josh Willink

Josh Willink, Director of Marketing, joined Summit Wealth Group in January of 2014 at the Scottsdale location. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, having worked previously in the insurance field, banking services, tax preparation, and as a counselor for individuals going through bankruptcy.

Josh earned an MBA with a concentration in finance in 2014 through Davenport University after receiving a BBA in Business Finance from Davenport in 2012. He currently holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network.

​

Josh and his wife, Carrie, have three daughters: Remy, Jade, and Zavia. They currently reside in Holland, Michigan. In addition to being travel enthusiasts, they are very active with outdoor hobbies, including hiking, camping, biking, and exploring.
